Launch of the Future Leaders Grant
In Developing Future Leaders Rose Alwyn noted that Deans & Deputies are often the change agents in their organisations and panel participants listed mentoring, management training and networking opportunities as areas of importance in their professional growth. In response, the UCA has developed a Future Leaders Grant to the value of $2,000 to support deputies/deans to engage in or undertake a project, program or course that will contribute to better collegiate life. More information is available here.
Note: a reminder that UCA Associate Membership is extended to those in senior leadership roles in Colleges & Halls. To be an Associate Member the relevant Head/CEO must be a current member.
Isolated Children's Parents' Association
The college environment is the accommodation of choice for many rural and remote students. This sentiment is expressed every year at the Isolated Children's Parents' Association (ICPA) Federal Conference. In response to their recent correspondence, UCA Secretary, Dr Carla Tromans raised their concerns at our recent AGM and undertook to distribute their correspondence to all members. Please find this attached.
