'Engendering Positive Alcohol Cultures in University Residential Colleges: An Alcohol Culture Change Initiative'
Members should, by now, have received Associate Professor Tim Corney's report which has been mailed via Australia Post.  UCA has been addressing the role that alcohol plays in the social and cultural fabric of residential colleges and halls for some time, and has engaged key experts from across alcohol and other drugs and public health sectors as part of a wider strategy to reduce harm in our residences.  This project and report is an outcome of UCA's ongoing work in this area.

If you are yet to receive a hard copy of this report, please contact Deborah Pugh at: executiveofficer@universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au   Additionally, an electronic copy can be accessed at https://universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au/members/research-papers/
Please contact Deborah should you require assistance in accessing member resources.
UCA Membership Fee for 2020/21
The financial situation that most of us are facing due to the COVID-19 crisis is certainly challenging. Much of our energy now is spent re-forecasting budgets and proactively mapping the road to recovery.  It is also at this time that the UCA membership renewal is due. The Executive acknowledge the difficulty of remaining financial in 2020/21. Therefore, the decision has been made to reduce the membership fee by 50% to $480 for the financial year. For college residences where capacity is less that 100 students, the fee will be reduced to $320 for the financial year.  Membership renewal invoices will be sent out via email in the week commencing 25 May.

Despite the fee reduction, UCA remains committed to continuing to support Heads and Deputy Heads and to promote through ongoing advocacy the value and focus of university college residences.
